Adhesion Promoters are applicable for coating applications are can be added to the liquid finish. After the application, these orient on the substrate/coating interface and creates bonds both on the substance and on the coating matrix. Alternatively, these can make a permanent covalent bond and can also significantly boost the adhesion of the coat to the substrate, thereby boosting its performance. The objective of these promoters as well as coupling agents is to produce as many stable additional bonds. Useful for the mechanical improvement of a synthetic composite, these additives can affirmatively influence the pathology of coatings on aged paintwork.
