Catalyst (DBTL)
A Catalyst is a matter which can be added to a reaction to boost the reaction rate without getting used-up in the procedure. It typically accelerate a reaction via decreasing the activation energy or alternating the reaction mechanism. Some enzymes are proteins which work as catalysts in biochemical reactions. It is a substance that can be added to a reaction so as to increase the reaction rate without getting consumed in the process. Provided catalyst is a matter, which intensify a chemical reaction, but is not used-up by the reaction; hence it can be recovered chemically unvarying at the end of the reaction wherein it can speed up as well as catalyze. In chemistry, all substances can increase the rate of a reaction without itself being utilized.
